CenturyLink opens retail store for residential and small business customers in Aurora

Grand opening celebration Feb. 18 will include $10,000 check presentation from CenturyLink and the Denver Broncos to benefit the CenturyLink Mile High United Way Help Center

AURORA, Colo. – CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced the opening of a new CenturyLink retail store at 14222 E. Cedar Ave., Unit B, in Aurora. Residents and small business owners can demo new products and services now available, including broadband speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps), CenturyLink Cloud and business solutions such as Managed Office.

CenturyLink will host a grand opening celebration at the new store from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 18. CenturyLink executives, local city officials and members of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to offer remarks and assist in a ribbon cutting. CenturyLink will also present a check for $10,000 to the CenturyLink Mile High United Way 2-1-1 Help Center as part of a relationship with Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.* There will be a chance to win an autographed ball from Sanders and exclusive Denver Broncos merchandise, as well as the opportunity for photos with the Broncos mascot Miles and the Broncos cheerleaders.

The new store provides customers the opportunity to demo CenturyLink products for homes and businesses as well as learn about broadband offerings with speeds up to 1 Gbps, home automation features and security services through CenturyLink® Smart Home, and wireless phone bundling options through Verizon Wireless.

“We’ve been very busy deploying new products and services for our Aurora customers, including gigabit broadband speeds. Now we are excited to show our current and potential customers how these products and services work and how they can improve their lives and businesses,” said Penny Larson, vice president of operations for Colorado. “Customers and business owners can sample our super fast 1 gig service and speak with a representative about their current services and new services available to them.” 

The store also comes equipped with a newly designed small business consultation desk that allows business owners and decision makers to meet face-to-face with a representative who can evaluate their needs, make business recommendations and explain more about CenturyLink Cloud and the various security features that come with CenturyLink business bundles. 

Customers are encouraged to stop by during store hours to learn more about the products and services offered and to receive a free in-person account review. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Background on CenturyLink Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 Help Center:

  • CenturyLink entered into a partnership with Mile High United Way in 2014 to help fund the CenturyLink Mile High United Way 2-1-1 Help Center in the United Way’s new headquarters, a mission-driven community hub.
  • *CenturyLink also partnered with Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders in support of the CenturyLink Mile High United Way 2-1-1 Help Center. CenturyLink pledged to make a $1,000 donation to the 2-1-1 Help Center for every 211 yards gained by Sanders during the regular season and an additional $2,110 if he exceeded 211 yards in any single game, up to a maximum of $10,000.
  • The CenturyLink Mile High United Way 2-1-1 Help Center is a free and confidential community referral service that in 2014 connected over 100,000 callers with resources that provide food, shelter, rent assistance, clothing, tax help, child care options and other types of community assistance. Trained referral specialists are multilingual and available to help individuals connect with resources in the community. In times of crisis and natural disaster, the 2-1-1 Help Center serves as an overflow for non-life-threatening 911 calls.
