CenturyLink applauds FCC pole attachment order
August 2, 2018

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2, 2018 -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) commends the Federal Communications Commission and FCC Chairman Ajit Pai for the report and order the commission adopted today on accelerating wireline broadband deployment by removing barriers to infrastructure investment.

“CenturyLink applauds the FCC, under the leadership of Chairman Pai, for taking much needed steps to reduce pole attachment costs that can be a barrier to network investment,” said David Bartlett, CenturyLink vice president of federal government affairs. “Obtaining parity in the pole attachment fees paid by different broadband providers will help lower broadband deployment costs and encourage providers to make consumer-focused network investments.”
