MedeAnalytics Selects Savvis for SaaS Expansion in UK
June 7, 2009

ST. LOUIS, MO & LONDON – June 8, 2009 – Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in outsourced managed computing and network infrastructure for IT applications, today announced an agreement to provide managed IT infrastructure services to MedeAnalytics, a leading healthcare performance analytics company.

MedeAnalytics customers, including Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), which represents the National Health Service (NHS) and healthcare finance professionals across the UK, will now have access to analytics solutions that improve the operational and clinical performance of their businesses.

MedeAnalytics provides on-demand business intelligence for the healthcare sector, with more than 700 healthcare organizations in its network. Its performance analytics solutions help improve financial, operational and clinical performance by monitoring and measuring key metrics necessary to successfully manage a healthcare business, including segmenting patients by their ability to pay, finding cash that has been misallocated and analyzing call volumes in call centers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Savvis is providing MedeAnalytics with managed IT infrastructure services delivered from one of its ISO 27001 certified hosting facilities in the UK. The solution includes virtualized utility services consisting of managed compute and storage, managed network as well as managed security that features threat management services, intrusion detection systems and virtualized firewalls.

The Savvis solution underpins MedeAnalytics’ SaaS delivery model providing customers with more timely access to its cutting-edge software; eliminates the need to operate the application within the enterprise; and reduces manpower and costs associated with software maintenance. As MedeAnalytics’ network of healthcare customers continues to expand, Savvis’ global footprint of 28 data centers can scale to provide extra capacity the company needs to meet the increasing demand for SaaS.

MedeAnalytics recently underwent significant expansion in the UK, which required the company to quickly develop and deploy a locally-based, managed IT infrastructure services solution to support its expanding SaaS business model.

Without an in-house IT team in the UK to handle the IT infrastructure needs and also its business and clients, MedeAnalytics selected Savvis to build and deliver an outsourced IT infrastructure solution in a very short timeframe.

“Our SaaS delivery model is what differentiates us from most of our other competitors that are still purchasing and installing software themselves. With more and more customers joining the MedeAnalytics community, we needed to ensure we could quickly deploy our SaaS platform to stay ahead in the UK,” said David Watson, Senior Vice President, Chief Information & Technology Officer. “After evaluating a number of options, we selected Savvis based on the strong reputation of its SaaS-enabling IT infrastructure services, its global capabilities and local team in the UK. Savvis responded quickly with a high availability and high performance SaaS infrastructure solution that will expand with us as we continue to help our customers focus on the business of healthcare.”

“We are committed to providing unmatched support and services that serve as the foundation of our customers’ critical applications and ensure that their businesses continue to grow,” said Tom Riley, Senior Vice President, Managing Director Savvis International. “We look forward to working with MedeAnalytics to identify new technology solutions that empower the global healthcare industry to deliver quality patient care while effectively managing their financial performance.”
