Public Policy
A national, bipartisan coalition of 52 attorneys general and 12 communications companies announced today that they’ve agreed to adopt eight principles to fight illegal robocalls. This agreement will help protect phone users from illegal robocalls and make it easier for attorneys general to investigate and prosecute bad actors.
“CenturyLink is proud to stand with our industry colleagues in endorsing the National Association of Attorneys General’s anti-robocall principles. We share our customers’ frustration with unwanted, automated, fraudulent telephone solicitations and are committed to doing our part to stop these calls, including identifying and addressing the sources of illegal robocalls. We will continue to work closely with our industry peers, policymakers and law enforcement agencies so that together, we can combat the scourge of robocalls.”
