CenturyLink wins spot on $50 billion GSA EIS program
August 2, 2017
Company authorized to bid on IT and telecommunications infrastructure services

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) recently won a coveted spot on the General Services Administration's 15-year, $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) program, a multiple-award contract vehicle for federal government agencies to purchase information technology and telecommunications infrastructure services.

EIS is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) program that serves as the follow on to GSA's Networx, WITS3 and regional telecommunications services contracts. A current Networx contract holder, CenturyLink's Networx Universal and Enterprise contracts were extended through the end of March 2020 and the end of May 2020, respectively, to give federal agencies adequate time to transition services from Networx to EIS.

"GSA's selection of CenturyLink as an EIS provider confirms that we offer federal agencies good value and the right mix of secure cloud, cybersecurity, IT and network solutions," said Erich Sanchack, CenturyLink senior vice president and general manager, federal solutions. "CenturyLink looks forward to continuing to help agencies with their digital transformation as they modernize their IT infrastructure via EIS."

The EIS program is part of GSA's Network Services 2020 strategy, which aims to give federal agencies the flexibility and agility to migrate to modern telecommunications and IT services that meet government security standards.

By supplying cybersecurity, cloud, managed hosting and IT services over its carrier-class network, CenturyLink provides government agencies with the security and reliability they need to carry out their important missions.

CenturyLink is currently ranked No. 35 on Washington Technology's 2017 Top 100 list of federal government IT contractors.
