Fastest Qwest High-Speed Internet Service Expanding in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.  – March 5  The next evolution of Qwest High-Speed Internet® has arrived in many New Mexico communities.* As Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q) expands its next-generation fiber-optic-fast Internet network, qualifying residents and small businesses in select areas can access connection speeds up to 40 Mbps downstream and 20 Mbps upstream – among the fastest upstream speeds available today.

o        Connection speeds of up to 40 Mbps downstream with up to 20 Mbps upstream, starting at $109.99 a month for the first 12 months when combined with a qualifying home phone plan.

o        Qualified customers with 7 Mbps, 12 Mbps or 20 Mbps downstream speed tiers can upgrade to 5 Mbps upstream speeds for an introductory rate of $5 more a month.

 

·         Qwest’s premium service, delivering connection speeds up to 40 Mbps downstream and 20 Mbps upstream, allows users to:

o        Download an average 30-minute TV show in as little as 44 seconds.

o        Download an HD movie in as little as 10 minutes.

o        Upload about 15 high-quality photos in less than a minute.

o        Upload a 3-minute video file in less than 10 seconds.
