Lumen Technologies named a Military Times Best for Vets Employer for Third Year in a Row

For the third year in a row, Lumen Technologies has been named to the Military Times 2021 Best For Vets: Employers List, a sought-after distinction in which Military Times recognizes organizations for their programs and policies that support veterans’ post-military careers.

This editorially independent program produces a highly respected analysis of a company’s efforts to recruit, retain, and support current and former service members, military spouses, and military caregivers. The employer rankings were announced on November 4 and can be found here.

Now in its 12th year, the rankings for the Military Times Best for Vets: Employers are based on the results of a voluntary survey that captured the areas of greatest importance to transitioning service members, veterans, and their families when looking for an employer. Recruitment and employment practices, as well as retention and support programs, were given the most weight and importance in scoring and final rankings. Lumen Technologies ranked number #119 out of 161 employers who made the list.

Lumen has a record of helping and appreciating veterans. U.S. Veterans Magazine named Lumen Technologies as a 2021 Best of the Best top Veteran-friendly company. Lumen was also recognized locally as a 2021 Veteran Employer Champion by Mayor G.T. Bynum, Community Service Council (CSC), and CSC’s Oklahoma Veteran Alliance in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

As a testament to our work culture, Lumen Technologies has also been named for the first time to Forbes’ list of World's Best Employers 2021, America’s Best Employers for Diversity for the second year in a row, America's Best Employers By State 2021, America's Best Employers For Women 2021, 2021 Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion by Disability:IN, and WayUp’s No. 1 Internship Program in the United States for 2021.
