Newsweek’s Green Rankings comprehensively assesses the environmental performance of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States and around the world. CenturyLink was listed as 228 and former Level 3 Communications was listed 226 out of the top 500 companies in 2017.
Barron’s recently offered their first ranking of the most sustainable companies in the U.S. To create the ranking, Barron’s turned to a sustainable-investing stalwart: Calvert Research and Management. CenturyLink made the list coming in at number 64 out of the named 100.

EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices and sustainability ratings, intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains. The EcoVadis CSR rating methodology is built on international CSR standards including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering 190 spend categories and 150 countries. The rating methodology is integrated into an EcoVadis scorecard that provides detailed insight into the CSR performance of a company covering 21 CSR indicators grouped in 4 themes (Environment, Labor/Social, Fair business/Ethics, and Supply Chain).
