You’ve probably heard about several high-profile security breaches lately. It seems they keep coming, one after another. From critical infrastructure to wireless communications, security is an issue that is never going away.
In fact, not only is cybercrime here to stay – the frequency and cost of cleaning up the mess is rising. Cybercriminals know that as companies grow, so too does their potential attack surface. And companies are moving fast! Whether it’s the rapidly deployed cloud- and SaaS-based resources needed to quickly enable remote work during the pandemic, or the massive amounts of data required to succeed in the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR), many of the technologies that companies need are being deployed both formally and in the shadows, which raises even greater concerns about data protection and privacy.
With all this advancement and the speed at which business moves in the 4IR, it’s important that we remember one constant that affects us all: criminals will never stop trying to stay one step ahead.
What Can Companies Do?
Your best defense is to assess your security posture and make sure you’re running the tightest security operation possible. This sounds simple enough, unless you’re one of those companies that has limited security staff, which means the process could take many months to complete. By that time, how good could the results be?
For many companies, the answer is to bring in an expert – a partner – who can help you learn what hackers see so you can identify where you’re vulnerable and better protect your business.
At Lumen, we offer a quick and easy way to do just that. With the Lumen Security Assessment, you’ll learn what hackers and cyber criminals see in your network and in your data. The Lumen Security Assessment provides:
