The Excellence in Data Centre Service Award recognizes CenturyLink as a foremost provider of excellence in data centre services and infrastructure. The award applauds our efforts for innovation and operational excellence, on top of a demonstrable track record, “that can be used as an exemplar to the global data centre industry”.
CenturyLink won four fair opportunity award decisions from the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide network and data transmission services. The task orders, which run through May 2017, were awarded via the General Services Administration's Networx Enterprise contract and are valued at up to $10 million. CenturyLink will provide Ethernet private line and Internet Protocol services to support advanced data services for global Defense Information Systems Network users in the continental United States.
CenturyLink received the 2016 Asia Pacific Hybrid IT Strategy Award for the second consecutive year from Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting firm. The award, based on Frost & Sullivan's in-depth research and careful evaluation, recognizes CenturyLink's outstanding ability to deliver an integrated and comprehensive hybrid IT portfolio that includes cloud, colocation, managed hosting, network and managed services to meet rising demands for highly automated, efficient, reliable and flexible IT services.
CenturyLink was recognized with the U.S. Theatre/Area Award for Architectural Excellence in Global Cloud Solutions and Business Acceleration at the Cisco Partner Summit 2016, held in San Francisco. Cisco honored CenturyLink for exhibiting the highest level of excellence in the design of networks and customer solutions within the service provider sector in the U.S.
CenturyLink, RAD, Ciena®, and Ciena’s Blue Planet® division recently won the Third Network Proof of Concept Excellence Award at the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 2016 Global Networking event. The Proof of Concept (PoC), titled “Multi-Vendor Service Orchestration Using Open APIs for Service Activation, Performance Monitoring and NFV,” was built on CenturyLink’s network and demonstrated the tangible benefits associated with multi-vendor automation using open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)-based value-added services.
